Additional Tips to Remove Age Spots
Our diet plays a very important role in maintaining skin health. Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day to keep your skin hydrated, improve texture, tone and cell turnover. Eat foods rich in Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3 and Omega 3 fatty acids.
In addition, it is very important to protect your skin from sun exposure to prevent the aggravation of age spots. Sun damage results in pigmentation, tanning and age spots. It reduces the elasticity of the skin and leads to premature aging. Excessive sun exposure also increases the risk of skin cancer. That’s why it’s always recommended to wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher all year round half an hour before going out in the sun, even during winter. Reapply the sunscreen every three to four hours. Also wear an umbrella or hat to protect yourself from the heat of the sun. Do not go out in the sun from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. when the sun’s rays are strongest.
