Trying to refresh your breath after drinking? If you are anything like me when you drink alcohol or have a few drinks, it can cause an aftertaste in your mouth that is almost as bad as the alcohol itself. There are a lot of reasons that this happens to people but one of the most common causes is a dry mouth. The reason this happens is because alcohol can dry your mouth out so much that you can have problems with swallowing, talking and even breathing sometimes.

Trying to refresh your breath after drinking? If you are anything like me when you drink alcohol or have a few drinks, it can cause an aftertaste in your mouth that is almost as bad as the alcohol itself. There are a lot of reasons that this happens to people but one of the most common causes is a dry mouth. The reason this happens is because alcohol can dry your mouth out so much that you can have problems with swallowing, talking and even breathing sometimes.

So what can you do to fix this problem? Well one way is by taking flax seed oil. This little oil will help to not only hydrate your mouth but also will help to thicken your mucous membranes, which can help the flow of mucous from your mouth to your lungs. This is a huge problem for people that are constantly breathing through their mouth because this increases the amount of air that they have to breathe throughout their entire body. When you increase the amount of air that you take in it decreases the amount of carbon dioxide in your body which causes the aftertaste in your mouth. Also when you take the flax seed oil into your mouth and soak it in it the oils will stay in your mouth rather than getting filtered through the stomach and going to the intestines where it should not be.

 

Another way to solve this problem is by using mint. Mint has a wonderful flavor that goes great with just about anything so make sure you keep some mint handy. I like to take a little bit of mint extract and mix it in with some champagne or wine. This way you don’t get the strong odor that comes from drinking too much alcohol but instead you get the fresh taste of mint that always tastes good. Another great thing you can do is to eat foods that are high in antioxidants. Foods like blueberries, raspberries and strawberries are very good at repairing the damage that alcohol has done to your cells in your body.
