This depression, of course, affects physical health, as well, and the body does require the right amount of rest to recover from it. However, the mind – which is part of the brain – also needs nourishment. Often, the mind goes into overdrive and the body goes into fatigue, which can be mistaken for depression. When this happens, there is simply no more energy in the system to deal with the overwhelming emotions and the corresponding physical ailments. This is when the disorder could become very serious.
